Mat 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take
heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the
Christ,’ and will deceive many.”
Christ means Anointed
(Christos)
In the last days, many false christs, who will come in the
name of our Lord Jesus will arise. Their false testimonies of anointing,
miracles, healings, empowerment, etc. will deceive many Christians, who do not
heed His warnings.
Jam 3:13-16 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let
him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But
if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie
against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly,
sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every
evil thing are there.
The demonic
teachings of these false christs are based on worldly wisdom, which leads to
envy and self-seeking.
Mat 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he
will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and
despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”
These false christs
love and serve money (mammon) and so, deep down in their hearts they hate and
despise God. Beware of those rich pastors and televangelists.
Mat 15:8-9 “These people draw near to Me with their
mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. And in
vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.”
When worldly wisdom
is accepted, all their worship will be in vain. So, without the help of the
Holy Spirit, these false christs will then resort to lies, deceptions and
wickedness.
Mark 13:21-23 “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is
the Christ!’ or, ‘Look, He is there!’ do not believe it. For false christs and
false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible,
even the elect. But take heed; see, I have told you all things beforehand.”
Many of these false
christs and false prophets can perform signs and wonders for they have become
agents of the Devil with demonic powers. Read the temptations of Satan in
Matthew chapter 4.
Brethren, do not be
deceived by signs and wonders for the Devil and his agents too can perform
them.
1 Cor 1:26-28 For you see your calling, brethren, that not
many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called.
But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise,
and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things
which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are
despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the
things that are,
Brethren, the word
of God clearly states that the called (anointed of God) are hardly the rich,
powerful, respected and well-known pastors and televangelists, but the poor,
weak, despised and excluded servants of God, who trust God and His word.
Despite His numerous
warnings, many of His sheep willingly flock to these false christs. This is
painful to our Father, who loves us so much that He sent His only begotten Son
Jesus, to be made flesh to suffer and die for us. Our Lord wants us to bring
all those misled Christians back to Him.
Jam 5:20 let him know that he who turns a sinner from
the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.
