‘Last Generation’
1 Tim 6:17 Command those who are rich in this present
age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God,
who gives us richly all things to enjoy.
Besides the perilous time for Christians in
the last days, there is the danger of not trusting God.
Mat
19:23-24 Then Jesus said to His
disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the
kingdom of heaven. And again, I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go
through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
It is hard for a rich man to enter the
kingdom of heaven but if we put our trust in the living God, then everything is
possible. Trusting God can only be possible if we humble ourselves and
acknowledge that our possessions, successes, and all belong to Him. As good
stewards, we must diligently look for missions, charitable homes, and the needy
to support so that our Lord can reap and harvest where He has not sown.
Mat
19:27-28 Then Peter answered and said to
Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore, what shall we have?”
So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when
the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will
also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
God has placed Lazarus (those who follow His
calling, mission, charitable homes) in front of every rich man’s gate as
blessings and possibly salvation.
1 Sam 2:8 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts
the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit
the throne of glory. “For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and He has
set the world upon them.”
Joseph was sold as a slave to Egypt. He
suffered the wrath of Potiphar's wife (an officer of Pharaoh) and was wrongly
imprisoned. With God's mercy and favour Pharaoh promoted him to become the
prime minister of Egypt.
Similarly, Daniel was taken captive from
Jerusalem. With God's mercy and favour, he was promoted to become King
Nebuchadnezzar's advisor and prime minister.
Lam 3:22-23
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not
consumed, Because His compassion fails not. They are new every morning; Great
is Your faithfulness.
1 Tim 6:10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds
of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and
pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
Brethren, please acknowledge His love and
mercy for you and obey God’s word, commandments and teachings for the end is at
hand. When World War 3 starts, all your wealth will just disappear and on top
of that you will be judged for hoarding it. Be merciful and you will receive
mercy.
Jam 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who
has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
Pro 3:5-7 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and
lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He
shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and
depart from evil.
When we put our trust in the Lord, we leave
everything in His hands. We can then face the future with confidence,
assurance, peace and joy knowing that He is walking in front of us and leading
us. Fear God and you will depart from all evil.
Psalm
118:4-6 Let those who fear the LORD now
say, “His mercy endures forever.” I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD
answered me and set me in a broad place. The LORD is on my side; I will not
fear. What can man do to me?
