Be Faithful (LG32)

Luke 16:10-12  He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?

Our Lord referred to mammon as unrighteous because it always causes us to sin

If we arrange all those which we are unfaithful/unjust together, then this will read as follows;

If you have not been faithful to the least or unrighteous mammon or which is another man's....

Our Lord warned us that the least important in our lives is money (it always causes us to sin), which belongs to Him (which is another man's).

1 Tim 6:10  For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

We are only steward of the money/wealth He has given us, and we must use it for the needs in all His various ministries such as missions, charity and charitable homes for children, aged, destitute and needy. Please do not hoard it up otherwise you will be stealing or robbing God.

Similarly, if you have been faithful to His unrighteous mammon, then God will give you the true riches which is your own.

John 16:22  Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.

John 14:21  He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

His presence or manifestation which gives us His joy, peace, love, comfort, empowering, healing, etc. will be part of our true riches while we are still on earth.

Mat 16:26-27  For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

The final rewards He will give to each one of us at His appearing will be our everlasting true riches.

So be faithful to your stewardship of mammon and only then will you be blessed with true riches.
