‘Last Generation’
James 5:1-6 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your
miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and
your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their
corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You
have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed, the wages of the laborers
who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of
the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabbath. You have lived on the
earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as in a day of slaughter.
You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.
In the last days,
the economy will be bad resulting in low profits or even losses. However, some
owners still want to make or maintain their profits by cutting the pay of staff
and this is wickedness. The rich are richer but the poor are poorer and cannot
even fend for themselves. But these rich and wicked will be judged with
bankruptcy in the coming World War 3.
In the olden days,
the 11 tribes will tithe 10% of their income to support the Levites and feed the
orphans, widows and strangers.
Deu 26:12 “When you have finished laying aside all the
tithe of your increase in the third year—the year of tithing—and have given it
to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may
eat within your gates and be filled.”
Our Lord Jesus had
bought us with His life and today we and all our belongings including our
families are His.
1 Cor 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is the
temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are
not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your
body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
God wants to bless
us all the time even with His money in our care. As Christians, we do not tithe
but fulfill the tithes by giving more than 10% back to His various ministries
with a cheerful heart.
2 Cor 9:7 So let each one gives as he purposes in his
heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.
In the New
Testament church, the disciples; hundreds of them; sold everything they owned
in order to evangelize the millions in both Judea and Samaria.
Acts 4:33-35 And with great power the apostles gave
witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them
all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of
lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were
sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as
anyone had need.
Today, with about
25% Christians in the world, we will need a lot of money to reach all mankind.
Note: - all our money is the Lord’s and they are
meant to be used for His work.
In these last
days, all rich brethren should try to give 50% or more of their profits to His
numerous ministries, and all low wage earners should give whatever are over
their basic needs.
Mark Zuckerberg a
Jew, the founder of Facebook, declared that he is giving 90% of his profit to
charity and he is not even a Christian.
Brethren, take God’s warning seriously for Christians, who
heap up treasures in the last days are admonished or possibly cursed (weep and
howl) by our Lord, for they are depriving God’s ministries of the finance
needed.
Brethren, before
WW3 show your faithfulness as steward of His wealth by giving all your profits
away so that you are not heaping up treasures on earth.
