Last (Days) Church - Rich (LG68)

‘Last Generation’
Rev 3:17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’— and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked.
This is a proud, divisive, selfish and covetous church, which has strayed from the body of Christ.

1 Cor 12:25-27 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually.
This church is merciless to the poor and needy brethren in the body of Christ. Being blinded by great wealth, it has lost its vision and has started to build its own empire.
Deu 8:17-18 then you say in your heart, ‘My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.’ “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.

James 5:3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.
There should not be any rich church for all tithes and offerings must be used up to support His missions and poor churches, charitable homes. Hoarding up God’s money is covetousness.

Mat 13:22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
Our Lord admonished this rich church, that it is indeed wretched and miserable and far from knowing the truth (blind and naked) and is indeed the endtime church.

2 Tim 3:1-2a,4b-5 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers,.... lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!
It has a form of godliness in evangelism, casting out demons, praying for the sick, etc. but covetous and merciless.
Mat 7:22-23 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Brethren, let us enjoy His true riches for us while we are still on earth. Let us be rich to the Lord so that we will know the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
