‘Last Generation’
Mark 10:19-21a “You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit
adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do
not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’” And he answered and said to
Him, “Teacher, all these things I kept from my youth.” Then Jesus, looking at
him, loved him,”
God loved this
young man for He is a just and righteous God and He will love whoever that keeps
His commandments.
John 14:21 “He
who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves
Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”
John 14:15-17, 26, 16:13 “If you love Me, keep My
commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper,
that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot
receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He
dwells with you and will be in you... But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the
Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your
remembrance all things that I said to you... However, when He, the Spirit of
truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His
own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things
to come.”
Whoever loves our
Lord Jesus will keep His commandments. Our Lord Jesus will baptize him with the
Spirit of truth (a new Spirit), who will bring to memory His words, lead and
guide him into all truth and also reveal the mysteries of endtime prophecies to
him.
John 11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and
Lazarus.
For our Lord Jesus
to love Lazarus, he must had loved the Lord by keeping and obeying His words
and commandments and this may be the reason for God to resurrect him to a new life
(with the new Spirit) which He is sure will continue to glorify His name.
John 14:23-24 “Jesus
answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My
Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He
who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not
Mine but the Father who sent Me.”
John 11:44 And he who had died came out bound hand and
foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to
them, “Loose him, and let him go.”
Lazarus died
signifying the crucifixion of the flesh. Then, he was resurrected to a new life
signifying a new Spirit or the baptism of the Holy Spirit/Spirit of truth by
our Lord. Lazarus means ‘God is my help’.
Similarly, every
born again Christian needs the help of God by trusting and obeying Him and
keeping His words. Then, with the baptism of the Spirit of truth, the truth
will set us free by crucifying the old man (flesh), who is carnal, wicked,
covetous, worldly, rebellious, lustful, sinful. With the empowering of the Holy
Spirit, we will be able to live a holy, joyful and powerful but humble
transformed life that glorifies God.
John 12:10-11 But the chief priests plotted to put
Lazarus to death also, because on
account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.
Likewise, depraved
and powerful Christian leaders will persecute, revile and exclude faithful,
godly, and Bible believing Christians who love the Lord.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for
when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has
promised to those who love Him.
