Is Jesus Really Your King? (LG67)

‘Last Generation’
If we have obeyed His Royal decrees (the word of Jesus), then He is truly our King. Here is a short list of commands from our Lord Jesus.

In Mat 5, we must be salt of the earth, light of the world, fulfill the laws, do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not swear, do not resist an evil person, turn your other cheek, give to him who ask, and so on.

Mat 5:44 “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,”

Mat 5:48 “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.”

Mat 19:21 Jesus said to him, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”

Have you obeyed His Royal decrees found in Mat 5?

Mat 6:15 “But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
And also doing charitable deeds, praying and fasting in secret? Or are you serving mammon by hoarding up your treasures?

Mat 6:19-21 “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Mat 6:24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”

Mat 6:25 “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will
put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?”
Are your fearful of what you eat and a health food enthusiast? Don’t you realize that after God has created all the vegetables, fruits, and animals, they are good to be consumed by us?

Gen 9:1, 3 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth.... Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.”

Mat 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Do you keep His words or choose whatever you like to keep?

Mat 7:26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.”
Have you also obeyed His Royal decrees found in Mat 6-7? And what about the other scriptures, have you obeyed them?

Mat 10:37-38 “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of
Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Luke 14:33 “So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”

Brethren, we need to spend at least an hour every morning just reading His word so that we will know Him and His decrees. Whenever possible, humble ourselves by bowing down and worshipping Him in our bedrooms to present ourselves before Him. In privacy we can pray, sing and praise Him while driving, walking, doing house work, etc.
