Lazarus - Faithful Servant (LG47)

Luke 16:22-23  So it was that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels to Abraham’s bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments in Hades, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

The final reward for Lazarus, the faithful servant of God is the bosom of Abraham, which is equivalent to the rewards of crowns ( kings). For the merciless rich man it is the fire of Hades. Our Lord taught us in great details of the signs of His coming up to Rapture in Mat 24, and then how He will judge us according to our faithfulness by our works. Please read Mat 24:45-25:46 concerning His judgments.

God's faithful servant:-

  1. feeds His servants and sheep,
  2. extra oil (love and compassion),
  3. earns another 2 or 5 talents,
  4. cares for the poor, sick, needy, prisoners, strangers, etc.

The faithful servant uses his earthly talent (money) to earn the maximum heavenly talent possible by caring and feeding God's servants and sheep (including spiritual food) out of compassion, mercy and love.

The unrighteous servant:-

  1. surfeiting with God's money,
  2. no extra oil (no agape love),
  3. laying treasure on earth,
  4. merciless to poor, needy, etc.

This merciless rich man was the unrighteous or wicked servant, who was cast to Hades for hindering the work of God in the various ministries by withholding God's talents under his stewardship.

Brethren, beware, lest He finds us guilty of stealing or robbing Him. I trust that all of us will be able to overcome this temptation by having the love of Jesus deeply implanted in us so that His love will always be manifested in all our ways.

John 15:9-10  “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.
