Last (Days) Church - If (LG75)

Rev 3:20  If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.

The bible ( both Old and New Testaments) is a covenant, God makes with us. Thus, you will find that when we fulfill the 'if' (or its equivalent), then God will fulfil His part of the contract. Heresies are usually doctrines where the 'if' is left out.

John 14:23a  Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word;..."

We can sing, proclaim, declare and say that we love God. According to God, if we have not kept His word, we do not love Him.

John 15:24a  "He who does not love Me does not keep My words;.."

"whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."
The above is the favourite of preachers of Prosperity gospel, Positive confession, extra grace and other heresies.

Having read John 15:12-17, this promise is only for 'His friends', (those who keep His commands by loving one another)

"Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full." (John 16:23b-24)
Similarly, just before our Lord's crucifixion, He reminded His disciples (who had kept his word, commandments, teachings, etc. thus fulfilling their part of the contract), His part of the covenant of giving them whatever they ask in His name.

If you have sign a contract to buy a house, and without fulfilling the contract of your payments, demand the delivery of the house, this is lawlessness and wickedness
Similarly, all these blind, lawless and wicked Christians blaspheme God's name by demanding Him to keep His promise of blessing them when they have not kept their part of the contract of loving Him by keeping His word and commands.

Brethren, keep away from all these heresies and start keeping His word, commandments, teachings, etc. then our loving Father will manifest in you and will remind you of your blessings you have forgotten to ask Him. Amen.
