'Last Generation’
Acts 1:1-3 The former account I made, O Theophilus, of
all that Jesus began both to do and teach, until the day in which He was taken
up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles
whom He had chosen, to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering
by many infallible proofs, being seen by
them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of
God.
Our risen Lord
taught His disciples the things concerning the kingdom of God for forty days
warning Christians of who can and who cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Jesus Came in
Humility
2 Cor 8:9 For you know
the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His
poverty might become rich.
Our Lord Jesus gave
up His Kingship in heaven to become a servant. He was born not in a house but
the humblest amongst the animals in the stable. He grew up as a carpenter, as a
simple folk.
Imitating Jesus, His
disciples gave up everything to follow Him in complete faith and trust, and
‘walk by faith’ in His provisions. Our Lord promised them the rewards of
kingship in heaven.
Mat 19:27-28 Then
Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we
have left all and followed You. Therefore, what shall we have?” So Jesus
said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son
of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you
who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve
tribes of Israel.”
Faithful Poor Trusts
God
Jam 2:5 Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world
to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who
love Him?
God makes the
beggars and poor who love Him to inherit the throne of glory, for they are rich
in faith by fully trusting Him and obeying His words.
No wonder, He told
the rich man to sell all and give to the poor for God wants every Christian to
receive the highest heavenly rewards possible.
Mark 10:21, 23 Then
Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your
way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in
heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me”... Then Jesus looked around
and said to His disciples, “How hard it
is for those who have riches to enter the kingdom of God.”
Those who Trust in
Riches
Mark 10:24-25 And the disciples were astonished at His
words. But Jesus answered again and said to them, “Children, how hard it is for
those who trust in riches to enter the kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel
to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of
God.”
Kingdom of God
1 Cor 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will
not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor
idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor
covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the
kingdom of God.
The sinful,
idolaters, heretics, covetous and homosexuals, who cannot enter the kingdom of
God, will be killed in the coming World War 3. Repent!
Gal 5:18-21 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are
not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,
fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery... heresies, envy,
murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand,
just as I also told you in time past, that those
who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
