Last (Days) Church- I Chasten (LG73)

‘Last Generation’
Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore, be zealous and repent.”
Because God loves us, He will rebuke us for our own good and benefit.
Psalm 39:11 When with rebukes You correct man for iniquity, You make his beauty melt away like a moth; surely every man is vapor. Selah.

Tit 2:11-15 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.

Heb 12:5-7 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the LORD loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.” If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?
Because He loves us, He will chastise us so that we produce peaceable fruit of righteousness and be partakers of His holiness.

Heb 12:10-11 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
Thank God for the present painful rejections, sicknesses, sufferings, persecutions, worries, problems, confusions, revilement, doubts, and uncertainties of the future as His refinements and chastisements. God’s chastisements hurt Him more than they hurt us for He loves us very, very much. (When I caned my little son, he suffered physical pain for only minutes but the pain in my heart of hurting him stayed for days)

2 Cor 4:6-11 For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.
Repent brethren from doubts and unbelief. Have faith in God and be zealous for ‘nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus’. Our temporal sufferings are for our benefits and inheritance.

Rom 8:16-18 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs — heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together. For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
